On February 11, 2026, during the traditional "Small New Year" celebrated in southern China, the national "Four Seasons Village Evening" Spring Festival main event took place in Shangfeng Village, Daye City, Huangshi, Hubei Province. The festivities, showcasing the rich cultural tapestry of rural tradition, were attended by notable figures including Wang Jianhua, a member of the party leadership group and vice minister of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and He Lijun, deputy secretary-general of the Hubei provincial government.

The celebration began several days earlier, on February 7, with a series of vibrant activities titled "Celebrating the New Year in Shangfeng," designed to foster a community spirit of "full village participation, regional linkage, and continuous celebration." Highlights of the event included three main sections: "Explore the Daye New Year Market and Admire Chuchu Treasures," "Watch Chuchu Village Evening and Enjoy New Voices of Ancient Drama," and "Seek Ancient Paths in Yayi and Visit Nine Ancient Marvelous Villages." This initiative not only showcased local culture but also provided a platform to engage visitors in a festive atmosphere.

Among the many unique activities were the Jingchu New Year Market, which featured local crafts and delicacies, ancient village tours that offered a glimpse into the region's rich heritage, and family reunion dinners that fostered togetherness. The incorporation of elements of intangible cultural heritage and local specialties into these activities greatly enriched the festive experience for both villagers and tourists.

The event was widely promoted through live broadcasts on platforms like CCTV Video, the National Public Culture Cloud, and Hubei Cultural Tourism, allowing audiences nationwide to partake in the celebrations. During the Spring Festival, similar rural "Village Evening" events are set to unfold across the country, utilizing new media platforms to engage and entertain, thereby highlighting the dynamic development of rural civilization in this new era.
