Highlights
Beijing plans 14 spots for nighttime views, highlighting cultural heritage and landmarks in its urban lighting program.
Beijing is set to unveil 14 prime locations for visitors to experience the breathtaking nighttime views of the city. This initiative is part of an extensive urban lighting development program under the 15th Five-Year Plan.
These selected spots will celebrate the city’s rich cultural heritage and historical landmarks, particularly those situated along the Beijing Central Axis.
Among the notable viewpoints, visitors will be able to gaze upon the central axis from several vantage points, including Jingshan Park, the Drum Tower, the Shichahai scenic area, and Yongdingmen Gate.
Many of these locations are chosen not only for their historical significance but also for their ability to showcase Beijing's modern skyline and architectural advancements.
Highlighted locations include close-up views of the core Central Business District from Jian'guo Road and panoramic perspectives of the booming Wangjing business district from the Airport Expressway and North Fifth Ring Road.
Additionally, the Shougang Bridge, a striking feature of the city's landscape, can be viewed from the Beijing-Kunming Expressway.
This initiative not only enhances the nighttime aesthetic of the city but also aims to boost tourism and cultural appreciation.
