Highlights
The 10th China Farmer Song Festival held in Chuzhou celebrated rural revitalization through performances and cultural showcases, engaging tourists and local communities.
On September 25, the 10th China Farmer Song Festival and the 2025 "Four Seasons Village Song" performance event took place in Chuzhou, Anhui Province. This vibrant celebration attracted significant attention from officials including Wang Jianhua, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and Qian Sanxiong, Minister of the Publicity Department of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee. Organized by the Anhui Provincial People’s Government in collaboration with various ministries, the festival successfully highlighted the theme "Fields of Hope."
The event was structured into three captivating chapters titled: "Transcendence: A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains," "Unity: From All Directions," and "Struggle: Daring to be First in the World." Each chapter featured thematic performances, demonstrating the rich cultural tapestry of rural life and the music that embodies it. The festival served as a fantastic platform for farmer musicians from across the country, national-level artistic troupe members, invited guests, tourists, and local farmers to come together and celebrate the melodies that reflect the spirit of rural revitalization.
In conjunction with the festival, a "Village Song Map" was launched, showcasing the fruitful results from the year-long "Four Seasons Village Song" activities. The primary venue at Huangqing Lake Park in Chuzhou was complemented by events in Xiaogang Village in Fengyang County and the Langya Mountain Scenic Area, allowing for a broader engagement with various cultural sites.
At the main venue, visitors could explore four dynamic markets: "Road Song Market," "Anhui Wind and Smoke," "Waterfront Sound Waves," and "Village Light Avenue." Each market offered a unique experience, showcasing intangible cultural heritage through performances, allowing guests to indulge in local rural delicacies, admire industrial product displays, and participate in agricultural product sales. Furthermore, live-streaming shopping and cultural tourism promotions created a memorable experience characterized by the immersive qualities of auditory, tactile, and gastronomic enjoyment, making it a truly engaging event for all.
