On August 15, the "Xinjiang is a Good Place" theme exhibition event focusing on non-material cultural heritage assistance to Xinjiang was inaugurated in the Hotan region. This event was co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the People's Government of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. Notable attendees included Rao Quan, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism, Maimaiti Mingkade, Vice Chairman of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region People’s Congress Standing Committee, and other key regional officials.

The exhibition, themed "Culture Enriching Xinjiang, Intangible Heritage Adding Color," featured 435 representative projects of intangible cultural heritage from Xinjiang, the Corps, and 25 other provinces and regions. Additionally, it highlighted 383 inheritors of intangible cultural heritage. Various segments were organized, including "Intangible Heritage Exhibits," "Intangible Heritage Dance," and "Intangible Heritage Market," all designed to showcase the progress made in the protection, inheritance, and collaboration surrounding intangible cultural heritage. This initiative helped foster interactions among diverse ethnic groups.

Sub-venues, such as the Hotan Museum, will host a plethora of activities for both citizens and tourists. These activities will include exhibitions, practical experiences, and performances celebrating intangible cultural heritage, providing a rich cultural experience.

In conjunction with this event, the Intangible Heritage Summer Shopping Month was launched as part of the third quarter activities for the 2025 Seasonal Intangible Cultural Heritage Shopping Month. This initiative bridges various locations through a combination of offline exhibitions and sales, paired with online livestreaming, to promote summer-themed intangible cultural heritage products, tourism routes, and experience activities, thus enhancing the visibility and consumption of local cultural tourism resources.

The "Xinjiang is a Good Place" exhibition has been a staple event for five consecutive years, bringing together 1,450 inheritors of intangible cultural heritage and showcasing 1,217 notable projects. This initiative has played a significant role in conducting impactful cultural enrichment activities in Xinjiang, further forging a shared sense of community within the Chinese nation. The exhibition will run until August 19.
