On August 15, the 2025 "Xinjiang is a Great Place" intangible cultural heritage aid-themed exhibition officially opened in the Hotan region of Xinjiang. This event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the People's Government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Key figures such as Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Rao Quan, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Regional People's Congress Maimaitiming Kade, and other esteemed guests attended the inauguration.

Centered around the theme "Culture Enriches Xinjiang, Intangible Heritage Adds Color," the main venue of the exhibition highlighted 435 representative intangible cultural heritage projects along with 383 inheritors from Xinjiang, the Corps, and additional provinces and regions across China. The event featured various sections including the "Intangible Heritage Showcase," "Intangible Heritage Dance," and "Intangible Heritage Market," which collectively showcased the significant achievements in the protection, inheritance, and exchange of intangible cultural heritage, facilitating interaction and integration among the diverse ethnic groups present.

In addition to the main venue, subvenues like the Hotan Regional Museum enriched the experience for both citizens and tourists through engaging activities, including exhibitions, hands-on experiences, and live performances of intangible heritage.

Simultaneously, the event launched the "Summer Shopping Month for Intangible Heritage" as part of the third quarter of the 2025 quarterly intangible heritage shopping month. This initiative seamlessly connected various locations by combining offline exhibitions with online live streams, introducing a series of summer-themed intangible cultural heritage products, travel routes, and experiential activities. This serves to promote local cultural and tourism resources while also enhancing cultural consumption.

The "Xinjiang is a Great Place" intangible heritage aid-themed exhibition has been successfully held for five consecutive years, featuring a total of 1,450 intangible cultural heritage inheritors and showcasing 1,217 representative projects. This long-standing event has significantly contributed to the cultural enrichment of Xinjiang and fostered a strong sense of shared identity among the Chinese populace. This year’s exhibition will be open until August 19.
